Whereas The World Junior A Challenge represents a partnership between Hockey Canada, the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) and the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL), as well as the local host committee and NHL Central Scouting. Fans from across the country will have a chance to cheer on the best players from two Canadian teams, Team Canada East and Team Canada West, as they compete for a gold medal at 4,800-seat Ed Lumley Arena at the Cornwall Civic Complex, home of the CCHL's Cornwall Colts; and Whereas The World Junior A Challenge is heading to Cornwall and will be at the Cornwall Civic Complex from December 8 to 18, 2022. The Challenge was to come to Cornwall in 2020, however, was cancelled due to the Pandemic; and Whereas, as part of the event, Salon B (Council Chambers) at the Cornwall Civic Complex will be required for the Challenge; and Whereas, because all the recording equipment used during Council Meetings is located in Salon B, it is more desirable to reschedule the Council Meetings (In-Camera and Regular) of December 12 to a date where Salon B is available rather than relocate all of the equipment to another location for one date of Council Meetings. Now therefore be it resolved that the Council Meetings (In-Camera and Regular) of December 12, 2022, be reschedule to December 5, 2022; and Now therefore be it further resolved that a Special Meeting of Council may be scheduled for Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. to be held
